A jumper hose complete with quick release couplings on each end already crimped on with stainless steel Ear Clips. These quick release couplings are perfect for miniature railway vacuum & Air systems. They are compact enough to not look out of place on most miniature rolling stock whilst still being large enough to be easily detached and attached even when wearing gloves.

**Please note that a bsp thread is a standard size used across multiple air fittings, the 1/8" Does not relate to OD of the thread the thread OD is actually Outside Diameter 9.7 mm / 0.383" - 28TPI**

Measured by the length of hose hence the complete hose will be the length plus the connectors.

Details about the design and manufacture

 

These jumper hoses are perfect for miniature railway vacuum & Air systems. They are compact enough to not look out of place on most miniature rolling stock whilst still being large enough to be easily detached and attached even when wearing gloves. 

 

The hose is Manufactured in Italy by Alfagomma and is a reinforced hose ideally suited to this kind of us. The Fittings used are a specify modified version of the Tom Parker “Parkair” 21 series but with the internal stop valve removed. As covered under the safety section of this product description this means the valve will remain open if the hose is disconnected.

 

Safety First

 

Unlike most air fittings, these have been specially designed to not shut off when disconnected. This means if the fitting becomes disconnected the brakes will actually be applied. Other common air fittings have an internal valve which will mean the brakes may not be applied in the scenario of a train separation. With other connectors your brakes may not actually be fail safe, so we think these are essential for all miniature railway operators.

 

Pre-crimped connectors 

 

We supply the Jumper connectors pre-crimped meaning they are ready to be used. The Crimps can be purchased separately but we do recommend the use of a proper crimping tool like the one we offer Jaws Compound - Action Pince.
