PNP Brake Blocks – 7¼” Standard Scale (PNR-1D) and 7¼” Narrow Gauge (PNR-1E)

PNP brake blocks are injection moulded in a grade of nylon which is filled with glass beads to a level of 40%. These beads are very small and provide the braking medium with the plastic acting as a carrier.

The blocks are supplied as a set of 4, ready to fit, only requiring the pin hole to be drilled.

PNP have provided a useful diagram of the operation of a vacuum braking system (click for link). It is the responsibility of the operator to follow the instructions provided to ensure the installation is safe. Always test braking systems in a controlled enviroment before running with passengers. Braking systems must be regularly inspected and maintained to ensure effective operation.
