We have used this design of bracket for loading ramps, trolleys and in front of the storage container at Top Field Light Railway. The hock form means that they can pivot slightly making joints more accommodating of changes in height.
 
We have used the brackets with 30x60x5mm unequal steel angle. although we leave this up to you to decide what you wish to mount the brackets to.
 
Safe Use 
The Item can be used with 10 ¼ ,7 ¼ , 5, 3 ½ inch gauge- Consideration should be given to the expected load on the bracket, thicker coupling brackets ars available for higher loads. - Please contact us for more information.
 
We do not provide information about the tensile strength of these brackets, they are cut from Mild Steel grade S275. It is your decision as the end user what is an appropriate load for the plate as many factors could come into play which may affect their strength. For heavy trains you may wish to use a thicker bracket, we are looking to provide more coupling bars of various thickness and sizes please contact us for more information.
