0-4-0 Planet Loco Dillon and driving truck.
Unused for a number of years this 12v Loco has been tested and is sold working but as a “working restoration” requiring some minor repairs to the electrics and body work. Chain driven to both wheels this loco has a sensible amount of power to haul two coaches on the flat and the picture shows it working a large train!
One of the very first built planet locos which we believe makes it about 25 years old! For the locos age it is doing very well with a generally good appearance; a few knocks and marks have been picked up over the years but it is still a very presentable locomotive.
Built on a welded steel chassis with fiberglass details on both chassis and body.
The original controller is still in place and has been tested and works with the cab controls - there are additional controls on the driving truck for “a more comfortable driving position” these secondary controls have not been tested and would need some minor repair to function.
-
Functioning brakes on the locomotive.
-
Head and tail light fitted to loco (untested)
-
Fitted with Vacuum brakes inside the driving tuck.
-
Controles in the cab.
-
Secondary controls on the driving truck.
-
Hand brake on the loco
Compact 0-4-0 locos are always a popular locomotive in any gauge, but a brand new one in 7 ¼ is normally upwards of £2,500 for just the locomotive from a well known supplier, we are offering this used but historic loco £2,250 including a driving truck. We offer a 14 days return policy, provided the item is in the same condition that it was sold in. We will refund the price of the items minus delivery. Please note: buyers pay return delivery costs.
Controller upgrade and re-wire
At MRW we can upgrade the current control system to a modern 4QD system which would cost £450 which would include a (supported) handset from 4qd refreshed wires and a general deep service. - if this is opted the charge is nonrefundable if you choose to return the loco under our 14 days return.
