7¼" Gauge Commercial Bogie (VAC/AIR Brake or Unbraked)

Our commercial bogies are designed for dependable, smooth running on both portable and permanent 7¼" gauge railways. Built for commercial workloads, they provide excellent stability, durability and low rolling resistance — making them ideal for articulated sit-astride coaches and other passenger vehicles.

These bogies use a robust steel chassis structure with precision-machined components to ensure long service life and consistent performance under high passenger loads. Optional vacuum or Air braking provides reliable and easily serviceable braking for commercial operations.

We are currently completing an updated MRW in-house design, which:

• Retains the same proven geometry and running characteristics

• Provides equivalent or improved braking performance

• Is built to the same high commercial standard of fit, finish and durability

• Includes refinements for easier manufacturing, better serviceability and lower maintenance time

 

The new bogie design will differ in appearance from the photos shown, but will meet or exceed the quality and performance of earlier MRW-built bogies.

 

Updated CAD renders and photographs will be uploaded once production is complete.
